Biorevitalization in Kyiv

Biorevitalisation means injecting hyaluronic acid and other "skin boosters" into the skin for deep hydration and better firmness and tone. Unlike fillers, the product does not change volume or contours; it works on the quality of the skin itself. At UKRMED Cosmetology, the treatment is carried out by cosmetologist Nataliia Tarhonska, who chooses the product for the specific goal: hydration, rejuvenation or recovery after acne.

What skin biorevitalization is

With age, the skin loses its own hyaluronic acid and collagen: it becomes dry and dull, and fine lines appear. Skin rejuvenation injections deliver active substances straight into the dermis, where they attract water and stimulate fibroblasts.

A 2023 systematic review of 13 studies found that hyaluronic acid injections noticeably improve hydration, firmness, elasticity, texture and radiance of facial skin, and that the procedure is safe with high patient satisfaction.

Who it suits

• dry, dehydrated, dull skin;
• fine lines and loss of elasticity;
• skin after sun exposure, peels or laser treatments;
• post-acne marks;
• preparing the skin for other aesthetic treatments.

The face is the most common area, but other zones can be treated too: under eye biorevitalization (thin skin, fine crinkles), the neck and décolleté, and the hands, where skin ages early and gives away age.

Products used at UKRMED

• Jalupro — hyaluronic acid with amino acids, the building blocks of collagen. Hyaluronic acid biorevitalization works best for hydration and elasticity.
• Newest — hyaluronic acid combined with polynucleotides for hydration and regeneration.
• Rejuran Healer, HB Plus, S — polynucleotide products derived from salmon DNA. They stimulate tissue repair: Healer for rejuvenation, HB Plus for regeneration and hydration, S for scars and post-acne.

A 2026 systematic review of randomised trials confirmed that polynucleotides improve skin condition and healing, although the number of studies is still small. More about these products on the biorepair page.

The procedure

1. Consultation. The doctor assesses your skin and asks about allergies, previous injections and medicines.
2. Preparation. The skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes.
3. Injections. The product is placed with a very fine needle in micro-papules or with a cannula.
4. Finishing. Antiseptic and a soothing product.

The treatment takes 30–60 minutes. Small bumps at the injection points disappear within one to three days.

A course usually includes two to four sessions two to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance every few months.

Biorevitalisation, mesotherapy and fillers

• Biorevitalisation — a skin hydration treatment that improves skin quality without adding volume.
• Mesotherapy — cocktails of vitamins, peptides and brightening agents for a specific issue such as pigmentation or dullness.
• Dermal fillers — dense gels for volume and contour.
• Botulinum therapy — relaxing the muscles that form expression lines.

These treatments are often combined, but the doctor decides the order and intervals.

Aftercare

• no make-up for a day, and do not touch the injection points;
• avoid saunas, pools and intense exercise for two to three days;
• no tanning for two weeks, and use sunscreen;
• no peels or facial massage until fully healed.

Contraindications

Treatment is not carried out during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with inflammation or a cold sore in the area, acute infections, allergy to the product, some autoimmune conditions or bleeding disorders. For Rejuran, a fish protein allergy is checked separately. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own.
