Mesotherapy is a series of micro-injections of a tailored cocktail into the skin: vitamins, amino acids, peptides, hyaluronic acid or brightening agents. Unlike biorevitalisation, which primarily hydrates, injectable mesotherapy targets a specific problem: pigmentation, dull tone, tired skin around the eyes or hair loss. At UKRMED Cosmetology, the treatment is performed by cosmetologist Nataliia Tarhonska.
Facial mesotherapy in Kyiv — consultation
The doctor will assess your skin, define the goal and choose the cocktail and course.
The evidence on mesotherapy is mixed because very different substances are called "mesotherapy". Hyaluronic-acid-based cocktails are the best studied: a 2023 systematic review found that hyaluronic acid injections improve hydration, elasticity and texture of facial skin. A 2024 review of mesotherapy for pigmentation (melasma) concluded that micro-injections of brightening agents can reduce pigmentation, although standardised protocols are still few. Mesotherapy for pigmentation is therefore chosen by ingredient, not by the name of the procedure.
The skin under the eyes is the thinnest on the face, so it needs dedicated products and a delicate technique. Treatment reduces fine lines and improves colour and hydration. If puffiness is constant, the cause is checked first: mesotherapy does not treat kidney or thyroid problems.
Separate cocktails are used for the scalp to nourish the hair follicles. A 2024 systematic review found that mesotherapy for androgenetic alopecia may be an alternative to minoxidil with fewer systemic side effects. Hair treatments are covered on the plasma therapy page.

A session takes 30–40 minutes. Small bumps and redness fade in one to two days. A course usually consists of three or four treatments one to two weeks apart.
Biorevitalisation is primarily deep hydration with hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy is a targeted cocktail for a specific problem. They can be combined in courses. Volume needs fillers (dermal fillers), and expression lines need botulinum therapy.
Mesotherapy is not carried out during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with inflammation or a cold sore in the area, acute infections, allergy to the ingredients, some autoimmune conditions or bleeding disorders.
Pigment spots, especially melasma, tend to come back. The Xtra Lightening Plus cocktail helps even out skin tone, but the result lasts only with daily SPF 50 sun protection and no tanning. The course is best done in autumn and winter, when there is less sun. If pigmentation appeared during pregnancy or while taking hormonal medication, the doctor may suggest further tests. For post-acne marks, bioreparation or plasma therapy are more suitable.

A fresher skin tone in one course
The cosmetologist will plan the course for your goal and give you the cost.
Yes, but brightening cocktails are better done in low-sun seasons. SPF 50 is essential in summer.
At UKRMED — from UAH 1,500 per session for the eye area to UAH 4,500 with Rejuran.
Usually a course of three or four, one to two weeks apart.
A numbing cream makes the injections almost unnoticeable.
Tone and hydration improve after one or two sessions; a stable result follows the course.
